Post subject: About the Administrator

I created this forum as a platform for discussions related to atheism.

Here is a little information about me:

I am an I.T. professional who resides in North Florida. I have a bachelor of science degree in information technology and am currently in the middle of completing my MBA. I have a wife and three boys at home who I treasure very much.

I was raised a catholic in New England in the 1970's. I attended catholic school for eight years; I went to church every Sunday, made my first communion, confirmation - the whole nine yards. It wasn't until my teen years that I began to rebel against what I felt was intrinsically wrong.

Confused for many years, my catholic sense of fear and guilt from alienating the church did not subside until well into adulthood. Over many years I was able to sort through my issues and began to educate myself on the topics of god and religion in general by reading several books, confiding in others I knew to be atheist and doing various types of research on my own.

Although I am still learning more about myself every day, I am happy to say that I am proud to be an atheist in America and hope that by encouraging others to speak out about it, we may as a group serve to educate and ease the minds of those who do not understand atheism.
